This foundation will put into play throughout the day. The program is aimed at providing an introduction to basic media handling skills and major differences among types of media.

Message Strategy Development: Knowing what to say is as important as how it is said. Developing appropriate messages that will positively impact the situation is a skill. Time will be devoted to working with participants to develop effective message strategies for the news media, and in preparing for news media interviews with an eye toward containing the crisis and adding an element of corporate control over the messages carried by the news media.

Media Handling Do’s & Don’ts: A detailed presentation and group exercise to help participants understand how a reporter thinks and acts during an interview. Key techniques will be revealed and discussed, and later demonstrated through examination of actual interviews by business executives and government leaders from around the world.
